My mission is to provide compassionate, client-centered care that supports individuals, couples, families, and groups in becoming the best versions of themselves. I believe that every person has the capacity for healing, growth, and meaningful change. Through a warm, respectful, and supportive therapeutic environment, I am committed to helping clients better understand themselves, strengthen relationships, overcome life’s challenges, and move toward greater emotional wellness. My goal is to provide the highest quality care while walking alongside each client, couple, and family as they discover their strengths, find their voice, and create a healthier, more fulfilling life.

I help individuals heal by creating a safe, supportive space to explore unresolved trauma, emotional pain, and life challenges. Through insight, compassion, and practical tools, I help each person move toward healing, clarity, and becoming the best version of themselves.

I help couples find healing and connection by working through unresolved trauma, emotional wounds, past relationship experiences, communication struggles, and emotional distance. Our goal is to help partners rebuild trust, understand one another more deeply, and create a healthier, more connected relationship.

I help families find healing and connection by creating space for honest conversation, understanding, and unity. I focus on strengthening relationships, resolving conflict, and helping families grow together with greater compassion and support.

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. It is truly an honor and a pleasure to be allowed to be a part of your journey toward finding the best version of who you are.
I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Tennessee at Martin, a Masters degree in Psychology from Marshall University in West Virginia, a Masters degree in Clinical Counseling from Marshall University, and a Ph.D. in Psychology from Howard University in Washington, D.C.
Clients should know that I am a warm, down-to-earth, and compassionate therapist who genuinely cares about helping people grow, heal, and become the best version of themselves. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and encouraged. I believe in speaking life into people and helping them recognize their strengths, even during difficult seasons.
Through our work together, I strive to help clients find greater balance, peace, clarity, and purpose in their lives. I am committed to walking alongside each client with care, honesty, and encouragement, doing all I can to support their healing and personal growth.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in compassion, insight, and practical strategies for change. I frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, while also incorporating Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills to support emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and healthier relationships.
Most importantly, my primary clinical orientation is Schema Therapy. I believe that many of the struggles we face in adulthood are deeply connected to early life experiences, childhood wounds, and unresolved trauma. These experiences can shape how we see ourselves, how we relate to others, and how we respond in relationships. A major part of my work is helping clients understand how childhood trauma and unmet emotional needs may continue to show up in their present lives, especially in patterns of attachment, trust, communication, self-worth, and emotional vulnerability.
I often view trauma like weeds: if we only cut down what appears on the surface, it may provide temporary relief, but the roots remain and the pain can continue to grow back in different ways. True healing often requires us to gently and carefully identify the roots, understand where they came from, and begin the work of removing them so that peace, balance, and growth can take their place. My goal is to help clients not only manage symptoms, but also understand themselves more deeply, heal from the inside out, and move toward healthier, more fulfilling lives.
